RIP Paul

Kerry King on Drummers - Joe Nunez couldn't join Slayer because his mother wouldn't let him, Adrian Erlandsson hits his drums like a fag, and Raymond Herrera has no hands.

FF XIII - the first 3 hours

amazing. absolutely amazing. stunning.

firstly, the musical score is bang on. Final Fantasy is known for its genre defining music, but this just takes it to a whole new level. it ties in so well with the story and the context.

the graphics are just what you expect from a blu-ray, its almost better than reality itself. you can even see the dimples in the characters faces, and the veins on plant leaves.

a minor down point is that the game doesnt mask its loading screen like it did in previous installments, instread a rather chuggy and ugly "now loading" next to a weird spinning thing sits in my bttom right corner almost teasing me about the prospects of whats gona happen next.

THE INTRO. OH MY GOD. simply put, the best FF intro i have seen since the epic battle intro between Squall and Seifer in FF VIII. i would have paid the $140 just to see that 6 minute intro.

according to the developers this game would be the first to make the transition between cut-scenes and actual gameplay seamless. whilst after the intro the quality does drop slightly, as of yet it is the only point in which i have been able to notice when its a cut-scene and when its gameplay, apart from the whole i can now control them thing.

THEIR WEAPONS FREAKING FOLD!

theres a funny black guy, who has a baby chocobo living in his hair. hes badass and holds his dual guns like a gang member. and he has a baby chocobo!

that wraps up the first 3 hours. ill be back tomorrow for the next 5 hours.

Dont let the fal'cie get you!

(havn't figured out what the fal'cie actually do to people yet)
